Imagine being able to have your dental treatment completed while you sleep ? This service has proven very popular and is in high demand.

Dr. Shin (aka Dr. Rachel) spent a majority of her life in Ontario and moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia to continue her dental career with her loving husband and her dog Louie.

Dr. Shin was on an honour roll student throughout her university career. She practiced in London, Ontario where her family resided after graduation from the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario. She is excited to explore the east coast of Canada with her new family!

Dr. Shin loves dentistry and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. She has a keen interest in general family dental care and her enthusiastic and bright personality is a perfect fit for all ages of patients. Dr. Shin, known to her kiddie patients as Dr. Rachel, loves working with kids. Dr. Shin’s ultimate goal is to provide gentle and skilled dental care to all her patients. She believes that working closely to communicate with patients allows her to provide the best dental care for each and every patient.

Dr. Shin is a member of Halifax Dental County, Nova Scotia Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association.

When Dr. Shin is not in the office, she will most likely be spotted at Long Lake Trails or Point Pleasant Park with her Sheltie, Louie. She enjoys hiking all year round, swimming and surfing in summer, and skiing in winter.

Dr. Shin provides general dental procedures under I.V. sedation. All medication orders are given by Dr. Lee Chamberlain (Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon). All patients are carefully monitored by a registered nurse. This is a referral based practice – all patients will return to their referring dentist for routine dental treatment.
